The actor speaks directly to another person (or the audience) rather than pretending they aren't there.

Exercise A: Tell Me Your Story
Performer tells a true story directly to one audience member.

• No acting.
  
• Just communication.
• Switch listeners.

Notice how the story changes depending on the listener.

Exercise B: One Listener
Deliver a monologue to:

• One specific person.
  
• Not the room.
• Not the ceiling.
• One individual.
• Then change listeners.

The performance changes.

Exercise C: Convince the Audience
Convince the audience:

• To vote for you
• To forgive you
• To believe your innocence
• To join your cause

Use a monologue.
The audience becomes the scene partner.

Exercise D: Direct Address Circle
One performer stands in the front of three or more listeners.

• Deliver a monologue.
  
• At any moment shift to someone new.
• The performer immediately shifts all focus to the new listener.
  

This develops flexibility and genuine connection.
