The goal is understanding status physically rather than psychologically.
Exercise A: Status Scale
Walk as:
Exercise B: Status Encounters
Try this with a partner.
Put 10 pieces of paper in a bowl numbered 1-10. Each of you draw a number. That's your status.
Now, engage with your partner:
Exercise C: Status Switch
Try this with a partner.
Two performers improvise.
Halfway through:
The low-status performer becomes high status.
Instantly.

- 5 (average)
- 10 (highest status)
- Eye contact
- Speed
- Space
- Tension

- Shake hands
- Ask directions
- Offer to buy them a coffee or soda
